On the field, the field hockey team puts forth winning performances comprised of the efforts of many different individuals. Contributions range from freshmen to seniors all working collectively as one to get a victory every game.

With the height of a basketball player but the heart of a baseball player, the 25-year-old first baseman has been displaying his skills at the plate and on the diamond in a spectacular fashion this season.

In an effort to rein in a community of commuter students who want to play intramural sports, Montclair State University held its first commuter sports intramural league this spring semester.

For Eileen O’Reilly, coaching is much more than a job or the “x’s and o’s” — it’s far beyond field hockey and Montclair State. Her passion for coaching stems from the early seeds her own college coach planted in her life. Now, it has become her passion to plant those seeds in the lives of her own players.

As a freshman in 2014, Amanda Wood applied to work at the Montclair State Recreation Center. She would get the job, unknowingly of what change it would bring to her life.
